Dr.Ganesha Bhatta Principal, M.E.S. Teachers’ College Bangalore, INDIA is an exemplar for Swami Vivekananda’s words. The fire in his heart is to reach out to people, especially to the poor and needy, disseminate values to the youth and be a mentor for children till they reach their adulthood. Right from the beginning of his career as a teacher in 1978, he has been passionate about empowering the youth with human values. His urge to help build families and educate the poor & needy made him pursue his education in the field of sociology. He has been working for the education of the poor and slum children since the start of his career. He has been rightly called the “Voice of the Poor”. His knowledge from the education he received through Ph.D. in Education, P.G.D.H.R.M.,P.G.D.H.E. and P.G.D.D.E. have been rightly channelized to empower the youth with values in life. He is not only inculcating value system in the youth but is also involved in counselling them to imbibe these values. His desire to build positive homes has made him to get involved in family counselling which has brought peace into many families! He rose from being a teacher to a teacher- educator in his career from 1978 and is now steering the Teachers Training college at M.E.S.T.C., Bengaluru, India as a Principal. His expertise is utilized by many educational institutions in various ways especially for training students, teachers, administrators & parents as well. He is sensitive to the needs of the present day children and the skills required by the parents & teachers to handle the same. He has undertaken research in the areas of teaching & education and has been involved actively in creating awareness about the need for inculcating values in present children through his articles in varied journals, newspapers & magazines along with hands – on training in many-a-institutions. His ambition to educate the poor leads us to believe – “END is not End but END is Effort Never Dies. NO is not denial, N.O. is Next Opportunity !” – Swami Vivekananda His incessant efforts towards building families and building the youth of India will definitely reap fruits in steering our nation in the right direction. Its our honour to have him on the panel of expertise to reach out to millions and keep the fire in his heart lit!
