A 7-year-old boy from Delhi named, Rudra Joshi, wished to own a lightsaber of his own after getting inspired from the famous sci-fi, fantasy movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the seventh installment in the Star Wars franchise.
Even though he desperately needed one, his mother asked him to start saving money for it. He saved Rs. 1,006 but in coins. Astonished, his mother couldn’t get it changed into notes neither was she sure whether Amazon would accept coins as part of cash-on-delivery. She asked Rudra to write a letter to Amazon asking the same and posted the letter on Facebook.
Amazon got back to Rudra with a special gift delivered to his doorstep.
With the lightsaber, he also received a personalized, heart melting message from the company in the style of the Star Wars crawl text, which said, “A long time ago in a galaxy far far away. There was a kid named Rudra, who was waiting to get a lightsabre so he can join the force to be a Jedi. He wrote a letter to the Amaz-empire to get the lightsabre. Yoda has seen that the kid is destined for great things and decided to give him the sabre so he could join the force.”
Rudra’s mother posted all the photos on her Facebook page, thanking the Amazon team for this wonderful gesture. They sure made the little budding Jedi happy!
